The Book of Ephesians
$19.95 + $3.00 S/H

The city Ephesus was located at the opening of the Cayster River on the west coast of the Roman province of Asia (Asia Minor) in what is now modern Turkey. Being on this pilotable river near the Aegean Sea, the city was a central harbor. Also, the city was situated at the junction of natural trade routes. Ephesus lay about midway between Miletus to the south and Smyrna to the north. Ephesus had a population of more than 250,000 in the 1st century BC, which also made it the second largest city in the world.

The Epistle of Hebrews answers questions the Jewish believers struggled with in the first century.  They needed to understand the relationship between the Old and the New Covenants. Why Jesus was superior to Moses?, Why Jesus’ death eliminated the need for the Levitical  system.   What is the relationship between the Tabernacle and Jesus? Is there another way to attain salvation?  Can you loose your salvation?

It all began in the second century a.d., the Gospel of Matthew took its position at the forefront of what today we call the New Testament. At first it was believed to be the first Gospel written, however, we now know that the Gospel of Mark pre-dates it. Because it is the Gospel most intensely concerned with issues related to Judaism, it provides an applicable evolution from the Old Testament to the New Testament in the Christian Bible. Matthew became the most significant of all Gospel texts for 1st and 2nd century believers because it contains the entire fundamentals imperative to the early church: the story about Jesus’s miraculous conception; an explanation of the importance of liturgy, law, discipleship, and teaching; and an account of Jesus’s life and death.
